HealthCap is a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment and as a life science venture investor, we believe that Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues are important and can affect the performance of investment portfolios. As such, HealthCap actively manages ESG matters throughout the investment process, from investment decision to exit.

Specifically, HealthCap contributes to two of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. By investing in breakthrough therapies for diseases with significant unmet medical needs, HealthCap seeks to contribute to SDG3: “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”. By investing in the development and future scaling of high-potential research ventures, HealthCap seeks to contribute to SDG9: “Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation”.
