Elsa Science appoints new Chairman of the Board, Niklas Eklund
Stockholm, January 21, 2022 — Elsa Science, a Swedish health tech company, today announced serial entrepreneur and board professional Niklas Eklund will be appointed as its new Chairman of the Board. Eklund succeeds co-founder Lovisa Afzelius who has served as Chairwoman during the company’s initial 3,5 years.
Niklas Eklund is an experienced serial entrepreneur, investor and advisor with a demonstrated history of scaling Swedish tech-startups to the international markets. Among Niklas previous achievements is co-founding and as CEO successfully scaling the award winning company Bookatable/Livebookings (now owned by TripAdvisor) and as a partner establishing Axel Johnsons Corporate Venture Capital initiative D-Ax. He has also served as Chairman of the Board for several companies in the past such as Lifesum and Kitab Sawti (sold to Storytel in 2020). He is currently also the Chairman of Fishbrain and Bokio.
Niklas is an unusual find, highly qualified and accomplished in the startup arena with a proven track record of success in founding and scaling companies internationally, fundraising as well as working as an investor himself.
